New York Cheesecake

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Grease a pan.
  3. in a small bowl mix the following:
    • Crackers
    • melted butter

    after mixing add to the greased pan to fill the bottom of it

    in a large bowl mix the following:

    • cream cheese
    • sugar

    until mixed smoothly then add the following:

    • milk
    • eggs “one at a time”
    • sour cream
    • vanilla
    • flour

    pour on the crust in your pan

  4. Bake for 1 hour (60 minutes) then turn off the oven and let it cool with the oven door closed this will take around 5 hours then chill in the refrigerator for serving

the reason to keep it in the oven is to prevent the cheese cake from cracking

Important Notes:

  • overbeating will cause the cheesecake to crack
  • Beat cream cheese with sugar only until smooth then the rest with a wooden spoon if possible

  • ¼ cup (30 g) all purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups (300 g) white sugar
  • 1 cup (230 g) of sour cream
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) of milk
  • 2 Table Spoons of melted butter
  • 4 Eggs
  • 896 g (8 ounce) cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vanilla extract
  • a pack of crackers crushed non salted
