Easy No Eggs Sponge Cake
  • Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder and sugar.
  • Pour condensed milk in a bowl.
  • Add butter and beat well till smooth.
  • Add milk. Make sure you stir the cake mixture in one direction only as this will incorporate
  • more air and make the cake lighter.
  • Keep beating the mixture for 7-8 minutes.
  • mix gently till smooth.
  • Pour into a greased cake tin.
  • Pre-heat oven to 300 F “150 C” (gas mark 2)
  • bake at 250 F “120 C” (gas mark 1) until done, around 45 minutes.
  • Cool completely before frosting.

  • ½ can (6 ounces or 170 ml) condensed milk
  • 2 ¾ cups (784 ml) plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon (15 ml) baking powder
  • 10 tbsp (150 ml) cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) icing sugar
  • ½ cup (143 ml) butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (285 ml) granulated sugar
  • 4 ounces (114 ml) whole milk
