Decadent Chocolate Cake

Combine all dry ingredients and then combine into large mixing bowl with the rest of ingredients except for water.
Add boiling water and stir.

Put into greased 9 x 13 (22.86 X 33.02) cake pan that has been greased and floured.

Bake at 350 F “180 C” (gas mark 4) for around 40 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups (500 ml) unsifted flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons (7.5 ml) baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons (7.5 ml) baking soda
  • 13 tablespoons (195 ml) cocoa, unsweetened
  • 2 cups (570 ml) sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons (22.5 ml) vanilla
  • 7 tablespoons (105 ml) canola oil
  • 1 cup (285 ml) nonfat milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt
  • 1 cup (285 ml) boiling water
