Brownie Honeymoon Cake
  • Melt butter and allow to cool.
  • Beat the eggs, sugar, and applesauce together.
  • Fold in flour, salt, cocoa, and baking soda.
  • One at a time, add cool butter, then vanilla. .
  • At this point, you can add your choice of extras – choose from white chocolate bits, raisins, diced candy bars, chocolate chips, whatever suits your tastes.
  • Pour into a 9 X 13 inch (22.86 x 30.48 cm) pan that you have greased and floured.
  • Bake at 350 “180 C” (gas mark 4) for 20 minutes.

  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 2 cups (570 ml) sugar

  • 2 cups(570 ml) flour
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) baking soda
